Make Learning Fun

The Museum has a number of hands on exhibits to enhance the learning experience.

A number of films cover all aspects of the Pier’s history. School children can operate the levers in the signal box as well as operate the slot machines with old pennies.

Arranging the Visit

Up to two teaching staff are invited to make a free pre-arranged visit, to the Museum to discuss the requirements for their group.

The school group can be to a maximum of 30 pupils plus 10 teaching/support staff. (The maximum group size the Museum can permit is 40 persons in total).

We suggest that visits are most suitable for key stage 2 students and above. We recommend 30-45 minutes per visit.
